Brand Optometry - Eyewear & Glasses
Brand Optometry

We carry a large selection and variety of frames, from designers, like Giorgio Armani and Calvin Klein, to relatively inexpensive frames which will perform your basic vision needs. Many factors contribute to the price of a frame. Differences in materials, coloration, craftsmanship, country of origin, quality assurance, and design all effect the price.

Material costs vary from the relatively inexpensive plastics to the high costs of titanium metals. The craftsmanship, or details, are what make each frame unique and special. Hand tooling on parts such as the nose pads, temples, and temple ends all add to the cost. As with clothing and other accessories you sometimes pay a premium for designer names. This added cost not only covers the "brand name" but also guarantees a level of quality.

Visit our showroom and feel free to brouse.

Trunk shows of various designer brands are available to company offices by arragement.

Glasses

We offer a wide selection of quality and designer eyewear. Our optical lab on the premises allows us to provide you a variety of lens options which are thin, light, anti-reflective, and are fabricated with quality and timely efficiency. The goal of our professional staff is to help you select frames and lenses that look good, fit properly and are compatible with your prescription and lifestyle. Choosing the right lenses is the most important factor in selecting eyewear. After all, the main purpose of eyewear is to help you see clearly and comfortably.

Everyone has different visual needs, different lifestyles, and different budgets. There are so many lens options available today that there is literally a perfect lens for every situation.

  • Computer Glasses and Eyestrain at Work

If you spend most of your day at a computer monitor, you may experience irritating and uncomfortable eye strain from time to time.

20/20 Rule: For every 20 minutes of work, take 20 seconds of break.

Here are some things you can do to ease the strain:

  • Glance away from the monitor for 20 seconds every 20 minutes or so. Focus on more distant objects.
  • Get up and move around at least once every 2 hours to give both your eyes and your body a rest.
  • Blink more often. Your eyes need the natural lubrication that blinking provides. Computer users often blink less than normal resulting in dry, itchy eyes.
  • Relax. If possible, lean back and close your eyes for a few moments once in a while.
  • Adjust your work space. Position your monitor 18 to 30 inches from your eyes with the top of the screen at eye level where you can look slightly down at your work. Eliminate reflected glare on your screen from surrounding lights.
  • Use special eyewear. If you spend the majority of your time at a computer, glasses or contact lenses designed to focus correctly on your computer screen can help. Anti-Reflective coating on glasses will also help.
